This photograph was taken by Hans Silvester at the beginning of 2000, when reaching these remote territories in southern Ethiopia was a real adventure. Hans made more than 36 stays there where he was able to gain the confidence of these tribes with specific cultures with a magnificent artistic sense, now gone. It is a true open-air museum that the images of these painted bodies leave us to discover. Each time they are repeated, these colored body drawings thanks to the pigments of the Rift valley, are the result of the creativity of these tribes who have never had any model or artistic teaching, they are just inspired in their art.
