Rémi Michel is the photographer of the river Sorgue, this enchantress river which is surrounding our city l'Isle sur la Sorgue.
He was born in Vaucluse, place of the spring of the river, in the middle of the 20th century and has always lived in the heart of the Monts de Vaucluse.
The Sorgue, emblematic river of this country that he knows perfectly is, for this passionate resident, whose family was already living on the banks of the Sorgue under the reign of Louis XIII, an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
After a first exhibition with us in 2012 called "Harmony", he is showing a new selection of photographies in 2019 on the movements, the turmoils and the scintillances of the river. These more abstract images take us into a parade of whirlwind, welling drops, lights that twinkle reflectively into its clear waters. It looks like if you could touch the water through some photos, and in some others you will discover incredible waves... normal !
