Support Myanmar's Photographers
This series of images taken since February 2021 on the ground of the demonstrations in Myanmar is a striking testimony to the important role that women of all origins, religions, social backgrounds, and especially the youngest of them, have taken part in this protest against the military regime. These photographs were taken by a photographer whose name will be hidden; They represent an opportunity to mix topicality and aestheticism as the looks of these young women are determined and demonstrate the involvement of this population that does not want to be robbed of its barely nascent democracy...
Retour De Voyage has been supporting Myanmar photographers for years through the Yangon Photo Festival, and hopes to support the photography community in Myanmar by raising funds selling these images from young women protesters shooted by women photographers during the day to day confrontation with the army. These images are showing together esthetic of the energy and involvement of the youth of the country together with actuality hardly shown.
