This bronze sculpture depicts a couple that seems to revolve around itself, arms folded across their torsos and legs intertwined.

The elongated bodies recall Expressionist painting and emphasize the tension between union and individuality. By sculpting without a preliminary model, Ruta Jusionyte allows the volumes to emerge organically until the figures gazes meet and a circular energy takes shape.

Critics have often compared the artist’s universe to a dreamlike world where minotaurs, hares, and dragons coexist alongside human couples.
