Introduction by Pierre Jaccaud - Editions Le Parrotier 2024
The Camargue Trilogy « Camargue, the beauty of creation » is a set of 3 book-albums designed by Hans Silvester. They are the result of a rigorous selection of magnificent photos, they present us with images of a Camargue of earth, water and sand.
« Hans Silvester has the art of capturing the shimmering water, the enchanted flight of pink flamingos, the glide of a snake on the lookout for invisible prey, the cosmic imprints of grains of sand drawing forgotten architectures, the woods that have become sculptures by the force of things... » .

Hans Silvester takes us to the heart of the untamed Camargue he discovered on his first trip, in the early 60s, on a Vespa from Lörrach, his hometown in the Black Forest. Welcomed by two gardians who were to become his friends, he was able, by dint of patience, observation and his eyes, to gain acceptance for this nature not yet tamed by man.
