The Strength of Life

The final chapter of "The Strength Within Silence" brings together the exhibition's four large-scale paintings: Strength of Life, Silent Beauty, Seeking Beauty in Chaos, Beauty in Stillness.

At first glance, these works appear more colourful. Flowers spread across the canvas and the compositions seem to open up. Yet the deep greys and dark backgrounds remain. The world itself has not changed. Broad gestures of flowing acrylic continue to move across the surface with the same intensity.

What changes is the presence of life. Irises, sunflowers and wildflowers emerge without erasing the dense layers of paint that surround them. They do not overcome the darkness; they take root within it.

This distinction lies at the heart of Khin Zaw Latt's work. Nature does not offer an escape from uncertainty or a solution to chaos. Instead, it quietly reminds us of life's extraordinary ability to endure.

The exhibition concludes with Beauty in Stillness, where the paintings find a renewed sense of stillness without ever losing their depth. Silence is no longer simply a space of restraint; it becomes the place where life quietly, and steadfastly, continues.
