Nature, too, carves wood, and it's with a sure hand that the sea and wind have sculpted this tree trunk, which curls into the pattern of the Camargue sand.

Hans Silvester takes us to the heart of a wild Camargue, discovered on his first trip to Provence in the early 60s. Arriving with his Vespa from Lörrach, his hometown in the Black Forest, he settled in the Camargue to live as close to nature as possible. After this initial stay, which gave rise to the first edition of his book “camargue”, prefaced by Jean Giono, Hans Silvester returned regularly to the Camargue, where he collected thousands of images of nature's beauty. It is from these photos, taken over several years, that Hans carries out a titanic selection process to present us with images of nature's sculpture, by nature.

The photos can be individually printed in limited editions, numbered and signed by the artist in various formats. Contact Frédéric at the Retour De Voyage gallery: +33 6 87 32 58 68
