In Dance and Life, movement becomes the true subject of the painting. Against a vibrant luminous field crossed by energetic black lines, forms appear to emerge and dissolve within the flow of color.

At the center of this dynamic space, two suggested figures appear, perhaps a man and a woman. They move toward and away from one another in a silent dialogue. The painting thus plays on the boundary between abstraction and figuration, suggesting a scene without ever fully defining it.
