Artist book L'étoffe des éros - Le Renard Pâle

A secret artist’s book conceived by Éditions du Renard Pâle, concealed within the stretcher frame of a painting. The work is revealed through an opening mechanism hidden on the reverse of a pink silk canvas, stencilled by Miss Tic, evoking those precious objects once concealed inside frames or reliquaries.

Imagined as an intimate artwork to be discovered rather than simply viewed, the piece belongs to the Secrets d’ateliercollection, created by Patricia Dupuy and Bernard Soria around the idea of hidden and unveiled creation.

The Renard Pâle artist’s books bring together the text of a poet or writer with the work of a painter, photographer, visual artist, sculptor, collage artist, fashion designer, or other creator, all presented within a beautifully and ingeniously crafted case.

Patricia Dupuy and Bernard Soria are both the instigators of these remarkable encounters, where artists and writers enter into dialogue, and the creators behind these books that become works of art in their own right, not only through their content, but also through their original physical form.

Each edition is produced in a very limited run, with 30 copies being the maximum, and every copy is numbered and signed by both the writers and the artists.
