This mask probably represents a spirit of the forest, destined to obtain its protection, or at least benevolence.
Back De Voyage was entrusted with a private collection of African masks and pygmy loincloths to present them for sale. A selection has been made among the proposed copies and we are certain of the quality of this exhibition. This is not the first time that Retour De Voyage has sold authentic African masks. Do you remember the exhibition "Passeurs de Rêves" in 2016, which brought together the Dan masks from the Rouayroux collection, the masks painted by Michele Loeb and the photographs of the scarecrows of the Omo Valley, hunted down by the tireless Hans Silvester?
