Born in Lebanon, David Daoud has developed a pictorial practice shaped by a life marked by ruptures, abandonment and displacement. His painting transforms lived experience into a sensitive visual language, in which form and colour convey a contained strength. A palette dominated by warm tones reflects a deep attachment to life. The exhibition Partir thus stands as an expression of overcoming adversity and attaining a sense of calm in a world charged with emotions.
