Sophie Sainrapt
Known for depicting the female body with sensitivity and lyricism, Sophie Sainrapt is a French painter born in 1960. Sophie Sainrapt studied with Hashpa and Ain Marie. In 1995, she opened her own studio in Paris. A protean artist, she embraces different techniques: drawing, ceramics, engraving, linoleum ... With a sensitive look, she sketches a blazon of the female body.
During the season culture of 2013, Mylène Vignon said
"Sophie expresses her pleasure in wetting paper, using the grain as a reactiveskin to the liquid substance, until touching the intangible to better taste love and caress life ... she is like a contraction of Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele decomplexed".
Sophie Sainrapt has illustrated numerous works of bibliophily (about Eros and his gardens of delights). Among them we can site : Pasnic editions, Renard Pale and Area ... She signs the illustrations of Paul Verlaine, Jean de la Fontaine, George Bataille, Pierre Louÿs and Christian Noorbergen ... numerous Parisian galleries invite the artist to exhibit on their walls . The artist also embraces a career abroad: she has exhibited her work in Korea, China, Japan and Brussels ...
Retour De Voyage, art gallery will bring together in the fall of 2019 the works of Sophie Sainrapt and Guan Yuliang, one of China’s most famous artists. The theme of the exhibition will be the "women nudes".
