Hans Silvester - Sixty years of photography
Hans Silvester was awarded the International Planète Albert Kahn Award in December 2022 for his lifetime achievement and for his testimonies from 1960 to the present day. Thanks to his openness to the world, the sharpness of his photographer’s eye and his sense of beauty, he transmits us iconic images representing everyday characters, witnesses of a culture, a place, a moment... The eye of the photographer freezes a fleeting moment to recall what constitutes our history. As such, he is both an artist, a sociologist, a historian, a defender of cultures and nature through an approach based on trust and observation. This new exhibition starts in April 2023.
